Devotional Meeting dedicated to the Arts

You are invited to an arts-themed devotional meeting on Saturday Oct. 23, 7:30 to 8:30. This will include inspirational readings and then a presentation/visit with visual artist and art director Shabnam Lu. Host/MC: David Frankel. Please come and invite your friends!

Shabnam Lu, Mexican-American, has lived in different countries, most recently, China. Having contact with diverse cultures and peoples has enhanced her perception about the nature of the human being, and has given her a more universal vision of life. As an artist, she steps into the unknown, longing to bring harmony and beauty out of the chaos, and finding delight in sharing the process. Curious about impossibilities becoming possibilities, and staying true to what matter most to her heart and soul, Shabnam explores the hidden mysteries of the spiritual world, and its uplifting and healing powers. These ideas are expressed in her colorful and mystical creations, which are somewhat abstract and dreamlike. Her creative passion motivates her to use different medias to communicate visually, including drawing, painting, sculpture, installations, photographs, and videos.
